Actor, producer and former wrestler, Dwayne Johnson, wanted to surprise his stunt double, Tanoai Reed, with a token of his appreciation.

Johnson shared a short video clip of the exchange with his 111 million Instagram follwers and explained in the caption that Reed was recovering from a recent stunt-related injury.

Reed has been working with Johnson for the past seventeen years, and Johnson wanted to honor his 'relentless commitment and passion.' He said:

'Over the course of my career, my stunt double (and cousin) Tanoai Reed has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments.'

Reed raked in numerous Stuntman of the Year awards, and his goal had always been to 'deliver the best movie possible to the world.'

To say thank you, Johnson bought him a custom made pick up truck but keeping it a surprise was tricky. He told Reed that they woud be doing an interview and discuss their careers.

Johnson arranged with a staff member to park in a van nearby, obscuring Reed's view of his shiny black pick up truck, complete with a red bow on the hood.

Johnson and Reed's 'interview' began. When Johnson placed his hands on his hips, it was a cue to the driver in the parked van to pull away.

The Skyscraper actor thanked Reed for his commitment and hard work throughout the years and then diverted his attention to the black pick up trucked parked behind them.

Overcome with emotion, Reed muttered a surprised "no!' and a "thank you so much" before heading out to inspect his new vehicle.

Johnson also added in the caption that he loves 'handing over keys,' and this marks the third time he gifted a vehicle.

Back in 2015, Johnson bought a truck for his uncle. When his father went in for hip-replacement surgery earlier this year, Johnson gave him a Cadilac.
