The 55-year-old television personality took to Instagram recently to upload the first photo of her son Kash with their dog Sinn that attacked him in April 2017.

Kim and her husband Kroy Biermann faced the nightmare of their lives when Sinn bit Kash. The incident left the boy in the hospital for four days as the dog's scratch was a millimeter away from his eye.

However, as seen in the image, Kash and Sinn remain close to each other. In the photo, the dog can be seen licking Kash's face.

“These 2 melt my heart,” Kim wrote.

“@kashbiermann loves Sinn so much. I was just snapping away a minute ago watching these 2 and here are a couple of them. #TrueLove #BlessedGrateful.”

The boy's injury and his parents' hard decision to keep the dog in the aftermath was documented during the sixth season of Don’t Be Tardy.

The reality series, Don’t Be Tardy, follows Kim and her life at home with her husband Kroy and their six children.

Speaking of the bite, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star previously told People that “it was a like a bad dream."

“Our dog Sinn is heavily, heavily trained. Kash is his favorite. It made absolutely no sense to any of us. This is nothing I ever thought I’d be dealing with in my life.”

Kash was playing with his brother KJ outside when the incident happened.

As reported by People, Kroy was using a leaf blower to clean the yard nearby and Sinn got scared of the sound, causing the bite.

Kroy told the news outlet: “Being right there, it was just wrong place, wrong time, wrong circumstances. The perfect storm.”

Kim and Kroy sent Sinn away from their house to stay with their trainer after the incident. The couple debated whether or not to keep the dog.

Kroy's instinct was to get rid of him. He said he hated Sinn. However, he later realized that although he "genuinely felt a deep rage for what Sinn had done" to Kash, his son loves him.

The couple then spoke with behavioral specialists, child psychologists, and dog-bite survivors before deciding what to do. The dog was eventually let back into the home.
