'DWTS' star reveals new details on her upcoming wedding
Cheryl Burke from Dancing With the Stars shared exciting news about her wedding following her engagement in May 2018 to her longtime boyfriend, Matthew Lawrence.
Even though they just got engaged, the pair has started making plans, as revealed by Burke in an interview with E!’s Daily Pop with co-hosts Morgan Stewart and Justin Sylvester.
Burke shared that there haven’t been any specific details as of late with regards to her wedding with the Boy Meets World actor, but she said they wanted to exchange vows around this time in 2019.
The star also revealed that they wanted a destination wedding, but their families seemed to oppose the idea.

Speaking with the co-hosts, Burke said, "We wanted a destination wedding, but then we got the family members in our ear, like, 'How dare you? That's so selfish!’ You know how it is."
During the interview, she also revealed that she already dated Lawrence in the past and they only reconnected after more than ten years following their first break up.
Burke and Lawrence first met in 2006. Lawrence’s brother, Joey Lawrence, was competing on Dancing With the Stars Season Three. Joey was the bridge that brought the couple together.
The pair dated in 2007 but eventually broke up in February 2008.
Speaking of their time apart, Burke said, "He has been someone I've thought about over the last decade,” before adding that she just knew Lawrence was the one for her.
Burke and Lawrence got together again after Burke’s sister texted the actor using her phone a couple of years ago around Christmas time.
The dancer asked for a sign that if he was going to respond, Lawrence was the one. As soon as they sent the message, Lawrence replied right away. The pair had dinner, and the rest was history.
As for the first relationship, Burke recalled why it didn’t work out during an interview with People in 2017.
She said, “When we first dated, we were both young and immature, and I was so new to this world. Now we are both adults and feel balanced.”
As of now, Burke keeps herself busy as the mentor on Dancing With the Stars: Juniors, which premieres on October 7, 2018, on ABC.
