David Cassidy's Daughter Katie Posts Black & White Photos of Herself on Her 33rd Birthday

Katie Cassidy, daughter of the late actor and singer, David Cassidy, recently turned 33 and celebrated the day with an Instagram post which featured black and white pictures of her.

It is a new year for actress Katie Cassidy as she turns 33. Katie, who is also a producer and director, celebrated her new age with a gratuitous post on Instagram.

In the post, Katie shared two black and white images of herself. In the first of the photos, she posed holding on to an unseen person's hand and seemed to be about to kiss the hand.

In the second picture, Katie posed in the middle of a staircase, wearing a lovely smile. She wore a long-sleeved top and long free-flowing gown, which she matched with boots.

In her caption to the post, the 33-year-old wrote:

"Another lap around the sun. Feeling so grateful for everything that this past year has brought me. I'm ready for you 33!"

David Cassidy died in 2017, at the age of 67, due to massive organ failure. In the early months after her father's death, Katie spoke to PEOPLE, where she revealed that his death brought their family together, something she said was a silver lining in the otherwise sad situation. She said:

"Even though the loss of my father was hard, it really brought my uncles, myself and my brother back together. I think that's the silver lining."

David Cassidy is famous for his starring role in the 1970s musical sitcom, "The Patridge Family." During his lifetime, he was married thrice, with each marriage not lasting long.

His first wife was the actress, Kay Lenz, who he married in 1977. The marriage lasted for six years before they separated. David then married Meryl Tanz a year after his divorce from Lenz.

Their union lasted only two years, as they separated in 1986. David's next marriage was to Sue Shifrin, who he married in 1991. His marriage to Sue proved to be his longest as it lasted 24 years before the couple finalized their divorce in 2016.

David Cassidy has two children, Katie, whose mother was a former model, Sherry Williams, and son, Beau.
