Valerie once said in an interview that she has nothing to worry about Wolfgang because she trusts her son totally, as reported by Closer Weekly.

Valerie, who has hosted the cooking shows "Valerie's Home Cooking" and "Kids Baking Championship" on Food Network, said in a 2014 interview with Meredith Vieira on her talk show:

"Wolfie has made some really, really good choices in his life so I'm not too worried about him."

Valerie added that her husband Eddie is indeed an extraordinary influence on their only child and that he's a marvelous father, so she's not worried about Wolfgang at all.

Wolfgang is also the former bassist for the heavy metal band Tremonti. When her son was in Tremonti, Valerie was still convinced that good people surrounded him, and that's the reason she wasn't too concerned about his whereabouts at the time.

His parents named him after the classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

"The guys who he was working with were so cool, so laid back," she said. "I didn't see any drugs or alcohol. They all went to get smoothies. Of course, 'cause maybe I was there, but I know he's made good choices."

Wolfgang was born on March 16, 1991, and his parents named him after the classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as reported by iHeartRadio.

Wolfgang had no idea that his father was an acclaimed rock star. He only found out when he began picking up CDs and seeing Eddie's image on them.

Wolfgang grew up seeing his father every time he had a rehearsal, and at nine years old, he began playing drums.

Two years later, he moved on to guitar. He then eventually began playing bass and now can likewise play a keyboard.

Wolfgang spent three to four hours a day getting tutored before Van Halen’s tour in 2008. The rider of the band even demanded a study room for him.
