"The Voice" coach and the "Hollaback Girl" artist's anniversary was right around the corner, and Adam Levine couldn't help but give a piece of his mind about their relationship last October.

The singer was a guest on "The Howard Stern Show" and said the couple found each other in a very interesting time of their lives because they were both single.

The 39-year-old confessed that he's a hopeless romantic and that he can be very affectionate and lame towards his wife, Behati Prinsloo, in the name of love.

But, according to him, Shelton and Stefani take lame to the extreme, almost to the point of making him vomit all over the place – almost as if they were "too in love."

When Howard Stern said that he expected Shelton to go on a one-night-stand rampage after divorcing Miranda Lambert, Levine told him that the country singer wasn't the type of man to do such a thing.

Levine added that he adored Gwen and that he considered Shelton to be a very lucky man, even though they were complete opposites of each other.

When asked about a potential proposal, Levine confessed that he didn't know if Shelton had anything planned, but he had hopes of getting an invitation to the ceremony if he did.

Although they have been reported enemies, Levine considers Shelton to be one of his closest friends. During the interview, the Maroon 5 member also talked about the moment he met Shelton, in 2011, during the first season of NBC's hit show.

"No one outside of country music really knew who Blake was, especially people who lived in L.A.."

Levine had been called in for a meeting with NBC executives, along with Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, and Blake Shelton. They started talking out of the blue, despite the awkward moment.

In the end, Shelton left a very good impression on Levine, who later found out that the country singer would be his colleague on the show.
