Abby Lee Miller shared a smiling photo while in the hospital last Friday. The 51-year-old asked her followers to pray for her after a spinal surgery.

The "Dance Moms" star looked to be in good spirits despite her ongoing health problems. She was diagnosed in April with non-Hodgins' lymphoma after doing urgent surgery for what was thought to be a spinal infection.

The caption read of the post:

"Pray my white blood cell count goes up and my 103 fever goes down! Yikes!"

The professional choreographer also shared a picture on Monday in which she did some exercise on a treadmill-like machine in the hospital.

She has had to re-learn how to walk after several chemotherapy sessions, at one point requiring a harness to stand. But on Monday she encouraged fans:

"Just put one foot in front the other & soon you'll be walking out the door!"

And last weekend, she reported that she would be doing her "sixth and hopefully the final Lumbar Injection (spinal tap) in this Chemo treatment!"

In a video she filmed just before the procedure, Miller showed where the surgery would take place. She explained in detail:

"This is the table. They're going to put me on my stomach and then my arms are underneath me so I can't move. And then they twist [your back] on a diagonal so that your spinal fluid goes down into your spinal cord, lower."

Miller's health woes began when she was released from prison for bankruptcy fraud. Her sentence started on July 17, 2017, and was supposed to last 366 days. She learned she had cancer soon after her early release for good behavior in March 2018.

Miller was transferred to a halfway house where she stayed until May 25.

Miller's challenging journey seems to be leading back to television. Lifetime just brought back "Dance Moms" after it was canceled upon Miller's diagnosis.

According to PopCutlure, Miller is returning for the show's eighth season. She was even named on the website's casting call inviting applicants. PopCulture reports the following advertisement:

"Abby Lee Miller has launched some of the most successful careers of this generation! She is currently casting NEW talent for Dance Moms. Does your daughter/son outshine their competition? Are they destined for greatness? Would they love the opportunity to train and compete as a member of ALDC? This could be the fast-track to stardom your kid deserves!"
