Nene Leakes celebrates husband Gregg's birthday amid his cancer battle
Gregg and NeNe Leakes have been living life to the fullest, spending a lot of time together despite his cancer diagnosis. Recently, the lovely couple celebrated Gregg's birthday with a fancy trip to the Bahamas.
The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star celebrated her husband's birthday last Friday evening, making sure to update their fans about this year's birthday plans.
After posting a photo of Gregg's birthday cake, she told him to pack his bags as they were going to head out and do what he loves. It turns out that what they were about to do was travel to the Bahamas, something that Leakes ultimately enjoyed.
It has been quite the tough year for the Leakes family after NeNe revealed that her husband was suffering from cancer. The former "Apprentice" contestant has bravely been sharing the changes in their lifestyle ever since the diagnosis. Since then, the reality TV star has been quite the supportive wife, making sure to bring her beau on the best trips, and making sure he gets all the attention he needs.
While she usually attends to other things, however, she made it clear that last weekend, all her attention was directed towards her husband as they went on their trip.
"Happy Birthday to my hunni @greggleakes its allllll about you this weekend! Pack your bags and let’s go do what you love #leoseason #blessed"
It came as a shock when NeNe previously revealed that her husband was hospitalized for 16 days, and has constantly been trying to recover in his own home. When friends and family realized that the illness was terminal and that he might need some support to get him by, they began to shower him with all kinds of gifts that would be useful during his recovery process.
Despite the tragic circumstances, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star has made sure to prove her love for Gregg, staying right beside him through thick and thin.
Born on August 18, 1954, Gregg recently turned 64-years-old. He and NeNe have been together since 1996, and the couple got married twice, first in 1997 and then later on in 2013 after two years of separation. They share a son named Brentt together, while he has five other children from previous relationships.
