'The Bold and The Beautiful' star Karla Mosley gives birth to a beautiful baby girl

The 36-year-old Karla Mosley and her boyfriend John Rogers welcomed their first child, daughter Aurora.

She shared the fantastic news with her 50,000 Instagram followers and joked in the caption that "word [about the birth] is trickling out." She added:

"Welcome Aurora Imani! Mom and dad couldn’t be more proud of you."

The post contained three photos of the newborn, and the first two snapshots showed her very a soft onesie while smiling for the camera.

In the third image, she is fast asleep, wrapped in a baby blanket. Aurora was born at home on August 17, weighing little more than 8 pounds and measuring 22 inches.

The name Aurora has a special meaning as well. Aurora was the Roman goddess of the morning. Hence being derived from a Latin word meaning "dawn."

Her Swahili name translates to "faith," and Moseley succinctly described it in her post:

"She brings the Light; she walks with Faith."

The post soon got the attention of her faithful followers and garnered nearly 8,000 likes today and almost a 1,000 comments.

Mosely is most famously known as the ex-con turned actress Maya Avant since 2013, her character in the daytime soap "The Bold and the Beautiful."

She appeared in more than 500 episodes over the past five years.

The show also made history two years ago when Mosely's character came out as transgender and was the first transgender bride on daytime television.

Her other film projects include appearing as a model on "The Price is Right" in 2014, and a guest appearance on "Battle Creek" the following year.

In 2016, Mosely filmed a TV short titled "Covered," in the role of Leah. The film hasn't been released as yet and is still in post-production.
