Remember R&B singer Jaheim? He's now 40 and captured hearts in floral gold blazer & black pants
40-year-old R&B singer, Jaheim looked quite regal in a picture he shared on Instagram. His appearance in the photo is an improvement on the gaunt face his fans panicked over when he shared a video some months back.
The “Put That Woman First” crooner was pictured wearing a floral gold blazer over black pants lined sideways with studs. He paired the blazer with a simple white T-shirt and accessorized with two neckpieces, a wristwatch, and black shoes.
For some time now, Jaheim has been the subject of ill-health speculations triggered by his recent social media posts. The singer appears to have lost a lot of weight, and his beards appear unkempt and discolored.
While some of his fans have been leaving comments of support and encouragement, others continue to poke fun at him. But Jaheim is not fazed. The New Jersey native revealed that he had begun eating healthy and making healthy life choices. The “Finding My Way Back” singer celebrated his birthday two months ago, and instead of wild partying and booze, spent the day meditating.
Meanwhile, even though Jaheim is sporting a different personality these days, the hitmaker is still in touch with his R&B side. Back in June, he spoke to PageSix about issues within the R&B music circle. The African-American icon lamented the current state of his music genre:
“I think that the current state of R&B is between a nail and a hard rock because the rock is not as solid as it used to be but the nail is wearing us down.”
Also, while many may say Jaheim is no longer relevant in the music industry due to his long absence, the three-time Grammy nominee thinks otherwise:
“I have been in the game for 22 years so I cannot say that I am underrated but I am not with the major industry anymore. I am still playing the game. I am the boss now. I am wearing the coat and paying my own bills and dues.”
You go Jaheim!
