An unnamed man has spoken up on HLN’s “Crime & Justice” show about his relationship with Chris Watts.

The man claimed he and the suspect had a 10-month relationship after meeting online. The two allegedly broke up due to Chris’ continued lies.

HLN’s host Ashleigh Banfield said the show sought the unnamed man to speak out about his alleged relationship with Chris, 33. She made it clear that they couldn’t independently confirm his story.

Chris is a suspect accused of killing his 15-week pregnant wife, Shannan Watts, 34, and their two daughters Celeste, 3, and Bella, 4, in Frederick, Colorado, earlier this month.

The man claimed he and Chris had an affair. He also informed the show that he wasn’t the co-worker the suspect was thought to be cheating with.

The anonymous man from Loveland, Colorado, claimed he met Chris on an app called “MeetMe.”

They began a sexual relationship when they saw each other in person for the first time back in June 2017.

“It was clear that he was interested in me and attracted to me,” the man said. However, Chris allegedly told him he was “not out and not ready to be out as far as his sexuality.”

The man’s account of a relationship with Chris does contain details about the suspect’s life that were not available online and in public documents.

He even had information which identified Chris' truck and his home.

“I had asked him if he’s sure he’s not bisexual because obviously, he had two children, but he told me he didn’t know, and at that moment he was attracted to me and me as a man,” the man stated.

According to him, Chris never told him he was married and he found out the truth in late January or early February this year when they were driving around with the suspect’s daughters.

“Bella made a comment and asked him if she could sleep with him and mommy tonight and that’s when I found out,” he said.

However, Chris assured him that he and his wife weren’t happy and were no longer sleeping together.

He added: “I knew something was wrong at home because obviously if nothing was wrong, he wouldn’t have pursued me.”

The man eventually broke it off when Chris kept telling him lies. He said he felt “ill” when he found out that his former lover was arrested this month for killing his wife and two daughters.

Shannan's friends also claimed she had told them she suspected her husband was having an affair.
