Gabby Sidibe shows off weight loss, putting slimmer curves on display in black shirt & tight pants

Gabby Sidibe, best known for the film “Precious,” took to Instagram to share a photo of herself in front of a mirror wearing a black shirt and tight pants.

In the picture, Sidibe appeared posing in a loose black shirt and tight matching pants showing off her slimmer figure. Apart from that, she put on a necklace with a dark piece of jewelry.

Apart from that, her hair was an important aspect of her outfit as it was styled in a big high knot that also let several braids loose over her shoulders.

For the caption, the “Empire” and “Precious” actress pointed out that she became an actress so that someone else was in charge of “laying my edges down.”

As soon as Sidibe uploaded that image, her followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. One of them was Instagram user @demetricegreene, who seemed surprised on how much weight Sidibe has lost and congratulated her.


Even though several people consider that getting compliments and encouraging words from others while losing or gaining weight is necessary, Sidibe believes that it is absurd.

“You don’t need to congratulate me on it. You don’t congratulate me every time I blow my nose. I needed to. It’s my body. Mind your own body,” added the actress.

Apart from that, she pointed out that society tells women how they must look like and they would shame them if they are different. However, things change with men as almost nobody messes with their physical appearance.


As Celebritist previously reported, Sidibe explained the surgery she underwent in 2016 when she started her weight-loss journey. She revealed that doctors cut her stomach in half which limited her hunger and capacity to eat.

She added that her brain chemistry would change and she would want to eat healthier. Sidibe said that her lifelong relationship with food had to change and that it was fine.


It was not the first time that Sidibe posted photos of her body as in early-July, she uploaded one wearing a white shirt, camo pants, and sneakers while holding a bottle of water and her purse.

Sidibe told People that she worked out with her trainer three to four days a week and that she swims the rest of the days, which has helped her during her weight-loss process.
