Brooke Shields hugs her mini-me 12-year-old daughter Grier in a new photo

The actress and model is close to her two daughters, and regularly enjoys outings with them in public. Most recently, she stepped out with her youngest daughter.

Brooke Shields took 12-year-old Grier Hammond Henchy with her on a fun mother-daughter adventure to the Hampton Classic Horse Show in New York on Sunday, and the pair showed off their resemblance.

Shields wore a silky black wrap dress with a white feathery pattern across the entire garment and a silvery accent on the edges. She left her signature dark and golden locks hanging loose down her back, and opted for a natural makeup look with just a dash of pink on her lips.

Her daughter pulled her long copper hair up into a high ponytail, and wore a light blue and white striped dress with off the shoulder sleeves. She accessorized with a blue choker, a pair of drop earrings, and a number of rubbery bracelets.

Shields and her husband, Chris Henchy, married in 2001, and are also parents to 15-year-old Rowan Francis.

The actress recently spoke about her daughters' important role in her life, sharing how they are the reason she has as much self-confidence as she does.

“My daughters have especially helped me feel confident,” she said.

She also shared that they often raid her closet when getting dressed, and have taken the time to try and teach her how to use Instagram.

Shields usually keeps her daughters as out of the spotlight as she can to try and give them as normal a childhood as possible, but from time to time will share a photo of them to the social media site.

The model explained that she is a very strict mother, limiting the amount of time they are allowed in front of a screen, and this includes their cell phones and the amount of time they are allowed to spend on social media.

“My daughter Rowan doesn’t have any of her passwords. She has to ask me to log her in. She’s so mad and embarrassed with her friends, but I’m tough like that,” she said back in 2016.

Shields was the same age as her eldest daughter when she landed a modeling job for Calvin Klein, making waves with the seemingly racy photos at such a young age.
