The heartwarming video was posted to YouTube via Nelson’s official channel and it showed the trio giving a soulful performance to revive the hit song, “Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain.”

The video begins with Lukas telling his father about the first time he ever played a song on a guitar, revealing that it was the very song.

He recalled the time when he was 10 years old when he asked his father what he wanted for his birthday. Nelson had then told him that he wanted no further gift than for him to learn how to play guitar.

Lukas then requested his father to teach him music so that he could fulfill his wish. Nelson then taught him to play the ‘E chord’ on the guitar, which is one of the chords which goes into the music of Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain.

While recounting the story, Lukas even plays a demo of the first notes he learned to pay on his guitar. Nelson is proud to hear all this and he smiles at his son.

“Sing it,” Nelson then requests his son. Lukas required no further prompting. He was more than happy to do his father’s bidding.

From the moment Lukas started belting out the lyrics to the song, one can notice the striking similarity between his powerful voice and the voice of his famous father.

Nelson lets Lukas sing the song for a while after which he decides to join in. His other son, Micah, then adds a few back vocals, which makes the entire performance even more beautiful and a magical experience.

The video has been adored by the people on the internet and has received over 1 million views and more than 7,000 likes.

Earlier in April, Nelson also released his new song titled “Something You Get Through,” which also turned out to become an instant hit. It has gathered over 1 million views so far.
