Vanessa Williams shows off her figure in black plunging dress
Vanessa Williams looked stunning at the New York Fashion Week, where she attended a series of events as the spokesperson of ClearEyes. The brand announced a partnership with The Nolcha Shows, and Williams was more than proud to help independent designers to showcase their work.
The actress and singer has a lot going on with her life right now, and as part of her compromises as the ambassador for ClearEyes, the #1 selling brand of eye drops, Vanessa Williams attended New York Fashion Week to make a special appearance at the Nolcha shows.
The event, held only during the fashion week, gives independent designers the opportunity to display their creations in front of a global audience of press, retailers, stylists and industry influencers.
Williams looked ready for the cameras in a pic shared to her Instagram, donning a Pamela Rolland black dress with sheer sleeves, adorned with stones and sequins on the top. She completed the look with black strappy sandals and long earrings, tying her hair back in a ponytail.
“Thanks, @oneiphotography @pamellaroland @cleareyes That’s a wrap for me & #nyfashionweek,” the actress captioned the pic.
Her loyal fans couldn’t wait to share their thoughts on Vanessa’s look and immediately flocked her comment section. User @montrealpowell got romantic saying “This Lady Is My Fantasy Right Here...” while @adnetsamba used some weird metaphors writing “You are graceful as a dove and beautiful as the moon in its magnificence.”
Is not the first time this year that Vanessa joins a brand to promote health-related content. Back in February, she and her eldest daughter Jillian Hervey, partnered with the WomenHeart organization and Burlington Stores to raise awareness and prevention for heart disease.
Williams’ grandmother at a very young age from heart disease, so the cause is close to Vanessa’s heart, literally and figuratively.
“It’s about awareness and taking control of your health,” she said to People. “If there is an issue, don’t be afraid to have the courage to see what it is, get screened, go to the right people, and be persistent.”
At 55, Vanessa leads a pretty healthy, fitness and active lifestyle, and she wants to make sure that other women do the same, especially if there is a history of heart disease on their family. She said:
“I get tested pretty diligently about that stuff and made sure my kids are aware, and that's the lifestyle I was brought up with because my parents were aware of both sides of their family.”
Vanessa will be headlining this year’s Theatre Under The Stars' 50th Anniversary Season Education Celebration with a concert at the Hobby Center in Houston on October 4.
