Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan reunite to perform 'Especially For You' at Hyde Park
Kylie Minogue surprised her fans when she welcomed Jason Donovan to join her on stage at her headline performance in London at Hyde Park for Radio 2 Live.
The once again reunited after a long time, singing their famous duet, “Especially For You.”
At first, Minogue was singing with her two backup vocals, and a gospel choir was singing Donovan’s lines.
To the crowd’s surprise, Donovan emerged from the backstage after the second chorus when Minogue exclaimed that she needed a dance partner.

Cheers and applause welcomed Donovan as he carried Minogue in his arms and spun her around.
It was as if they were walking back memory lane when they swayed back and forth much like their performance for Top of the Pops in 1988.

For the song’s finale, the pair shared a mic for a special duet. They finished the song with thousands of people cheering them on.
Following the performance, it was learned that Donovan’s appearance was not initially planned. In fact, he only showed up at the event to be a supportive friend of Minogue.

in his tweet, “I literally turned up on my bike to support my friend @kylieminogue and next thing you know I’m onstage @BBCRadio2 Hyde Park in front of 70,000 people recreating those dance moves Especially For You 1988... mad!”
He continued to say that he “loved every second,” and went on to thank everyone for their support.

Aside from Donovan’s appearance, fans were also surprised by Rick Astley.
Astley and Minogue performed a duet of his classic song released in 1987, “Never Gonna Give You Up.”

Other artists included on the festival lineup were Lenny Kravitz, Rita Ora, Manic Street Preachers, Boyzone, and All Saints.
As for Minogue, she is set to launch her “Golden” tour on September 18, 2018, at Newcastle.
The singer will be performing in 14 shows all over the United Kingdom throughout September and October this year.
Three of her shows will be at the famous O2 arena in London.
