But Jacob Norton confirmed it in front of a big audience, the television cameras and the all-celebrity panel of judges who had a hard time coming to terms with the fact that he was that young.

The YouTube video of his performance is already a sensation, and seeing it makes it easy to understand why people finds it so difficult to believe his age. His impressive act in the English talent show “The Voice Kids UK” is the work of a pro.

Norton often performs alongside his siblings in fundraising events for good causes, which has given him plenty of experience in front of an audience, although never one as big and hard to please as the public of “The Voice Kids UK.”

“But when I started singing I just got into it, I was just hoping at least one person would turn. I was worried I wasn’t going to get anyone, but when I got three turns, it was such a shock.”

-Jacob Norton, The Voice Kids UK, September 2018.

In little time Norton had owned the stage and conquered the judges, and no trace of his nervousness of the beginning was left, as he moved around the stage with the confidence of an experienced artist.

On the other side of the Atlantic, a shy girl who auditioned for "America’s Got Talent" made the news with her unbelievable transformation once she started singing.

We are talking about 13-year-old Courtney Hadwin, who left the judges in shock with her rendition of the Black Crows’s “Hard to Handle” with a beautiful voice compared to that of Aerosmith’s front man Steven Tyler.
