Judges think this teenager is cheating because they can't believe his voice

Even though his boy face gives him away, after listening to his singing it is hard to believe that this young man is just 14 years old.

But Jacob Norton confirmed it in front of a big audience, the television cameras and the all-celebrity panel of judges who had a hard time coming to terms with the fact that he was that young.

The YouTube video of his performance is already a sensation, and seeing it makes it easy to understand why people finds it so difficult to believe his age. His impressive act in the English talent show “The Voice Kids UK” is the work of a pro.

When one gets to hear his powerful voice sing the classic song “Puttin ‘On The Ritz” from legend Fred Astaire for his blind audition to the program, one feels tempted to join the many skeptics about Norton’s been barely a teenager.

As Inspiremore reviewed, the young singer from Colchester, Essex, who left Dixie Lott, will.i.am, and Danny Jones speechless is the youngest of four siblings who are part of a family of musicians. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa

Norton often performs alongside his siblings in fundraising events for good causes, which has given him plenty of experience in front of an audience, although never one as big and hard to please as the public of “The Voice Kids UK.”

So, even if it was far from his first live performance, the boy was naturally nervous at the beginning, being his first appearance in front of celebrities and the million of viewers of the popular show.

“But when I started singing I just got into it, I was just hoping at least one person would turn. I was worried I wasn’t going to get anyone, but when I got three turns, it was such a shock.”

-Jacob Norton, The Voice Kids UK, September 2018.

In little time Norton had owned the stage and conquered the judges, and no trace of his nervousness of the beginning was left, as he moved around the stage with the confidence of an experienced artist.

On the other side of the Atlantic, a shy girl who auditioned for "America’s Got Talent" made the news with her unbelievable transformation once she started singing.

We are talking about 13-year-old Courtney Hadwin, who left the judges in shock with her rendition of the Black Crows’s “Hard to Handle” with a beautiful voice compared to that of Aerosmith’s front man Steven Tyler.
