NeNe Leakes asks for prayers as her husband Gregg undergoes another surgery

TV personality and actress NeNe Leakes, best known for "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," took to Instagram to share a photo of praying hands followed by prayer requests.

In the caption, NeNe revealed that her husband, Gregg Leakes, was undergoing what they hope and pray was the last surgery before a steady and full recovery.

She added that it was expected to be a long surgery, which was why she asked for prayers.

“Prayers, strength, peace and kindness for myself, his children and family during this time! Amen (come on pray warriors) Lord i tell ya, sometimes you never know what a person is going thru! I will update you all as much as i can on my insta story [sic],” wrote NeNe.

As soon as she uploaded that image, her followers took to the comment section to share their prayers. One of them was Instagram user @carrie245, who pointed out that God was in control and that He would guide the surgeons’ hands.

Apart from her followers, several celebrities and friends, including Tiny Harris, Cynthia Bailey, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Kirk Frost, and Malaysia Pargo sent their prayers.

People reported that NeNe announced her husband’s cancer battle in mid-June when she shared a picture of the 63-year-old man sitting in a chair seriously looking at the camera while a computer screen next to him had the word “Cancer” with a red line crossing through it.

For the caption, she wrote that their “new normal” and the fight began, followed by the hashtags “You Got This” and “I Love You.” That was not the first health-related post that NeNe uploaded addressing Gregg.

In November 2017, the man was hospitalized for a “dangerously low” heart rate. Later, in May this year, they visited the hospital again, where Gregg spent 15 days.

NeNe has been 100 percent involved in her husband’s battle as she has even shared photos on Instagram asking her followers for “information, diets, cleanses, holistic treatments & prayers,” and also created an email to receive those pieces of advice.
