Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy share an honest update regarding their future marriage

Engaged “Dancing With the Stars” couple Valentin Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson revealed that they have started wedding planning and said it had been “stress-free” so far.

Chmerkovskiy and his fiancée, Johnson, previously expressed their excitement over the new chapter in their lives as an engaged couple.

They seemed to have not been wasting time and shared that they have already started planning for their special day.

“Dancing With the Stars” pro Chmerkovskiy had an interview with People and talked about the experience.

Speaking at Victoria Arlen’s “Locked In” book launch in August, Chmerkovskiy shared, “It’s good. Wedding planning is good; it’s happening.”

The dancer added that the planning had been “organic” and “stress-free.”

In June, Chmerkovskiy popped the big question to Johnson during a romantic getaway trip in Venice, Italy.

Chmerkovskiy also shared a few details in working out ways on how to combine both their cultures for the wedding.

He shared, “Trying to fuse a Jewish-Russian family with a Mormon family from Utah definitely is a challenge.”

Despite being busy for his wedding, Chmerkovskiy also gives a chunk of his time to being a dedicated judge for the ABC spin-off, “Dancing With the Stars: Juniors.”

Talking about the experience, Chmerkovskiy said he believed the position and opportunity was meant for him.

“I am passionate about dance, I grew up in dance, I was a young kid competing in dance, so I have a great perspective on it. On top of that, as an adult, my own passion has been philanthropical [sic] with kids and mentorship and helping the next generation be extraordinary.”

He continued to say that it had been one of his dreams to be able to motivate and educate young children through dancing.

Also, Chmerkovskiy admitted that working with children made him even more hyped to become a father in the near future.

He said, “I’ve wanted to be a father since I was a teenager. I love and appreciate and respect my father. He has paved an incredible way for me, and I want to do the same for others.”

On the other hand, even though the couple has been excited over their wedding plans, they recently delivered devastating news to their fans.

On Instagram, Chmerkovskiy and Johnson announced that their beloved dog unexpectedly passed away.

Johnson was extra emotional as she was looking forward to their “little angel” to take part in their wedding.
