Dustin Chambers was in a Little Azio Restaurant earlier this month when he realized that a white woman in front of him was very interested in a black woman’s hair.

Foreseeing that something might happen, he used his phone to record the situation, and the video became viral in no time. As the woman with long, beautiful braided hair was grabbing her receipt, the senior lady behind her held her braids and petted them a couple of times.

Even though it is not clear what she said, she was clearly praising the woman in front of her for having such a gorgeous hair.

In a very calm way, the black woman turned around and said: “I’m very friendly today but please don’t touch my hair.”

FEELING SORRY ABOUT IT

The senior lady immediately covered her mouth with her hand showing both surprise and remorse, and the younger woman just told her that it was fine, smiling after making herself clear.

One of them was user Okoye’s Side Eye, who pointed out that the black woman showed a lot of class as she would have yelled at the senior lady. User Jewel Wicker said that if the woman had reacted differently, she would have been labeled as “aggressive.”

Others, like Twitter user @latin4cookies, opted for focusing on the face of the cashier behind the counter, commenting that it was priceless.

“DON’T TOUCH MY CHILD’S HAIR”

Something similar took place at a zoo, reported Global News, where a white woman touched the hair of Rachel Garlinghouse’s daughter.

“I reacted in half a hot second. I turned, body-blocking the woman’s hand with my opposite shoulder. The woman seemed surprised but didn’t give up. She tried again, and I took a step to the side before her hand could bury itself in my daughter’s styled curls,” revealed Rachel.

During the clip, several other women gather around telling their experiences and how they feel about it.
