Meghan Markle impresses in tight velvet panel midi dress in pics for her first solo royal outing

Meghan Markle flaunts a tight velvet mini dress in her first solo royal appearance at the opening of a major Royal Academy art exhibition. The Duchess of Sussex arrived alone and impresses everyone in her elegant black wardrobe.

Meghan Markle recently attended the Royal Academy of Arts art exhibition alone in London, for the opening of "Oceania". This was a big event in the art world, as it was the first Oceanic art that took place in the United Kingdom. Meghan wore a black bespoke Givenchy midi dress and paired it with a pair of simple black heels to the occasion.

The Oceania art exhibition was a spectacular event for many reasons, one of which being the 25th anniversary of the Royal Academy. It is also a celebration of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia’s art, including New Guinea, Easter Island, Hawaii, and New Zealand. The event showcased over 200 works from different collections over the past 500 years.

It was Meghan’s first time attending an event without Prince Harry since the two were wed, and she did a great job as a new addition to the royal family.

Kensington Royal’s official Instagram posted a photo of Meghan’s solo moment with the caption:

“This evening, The Duchess of Sussex attended the opening of a new exhibition at the @royalacademyarts in London. ‘Oceania’ celebrates the diverse art from the region – bringing together over 200 pieces from the last 500 years. The Duchess spent time viewing exhibits from regions including New Zealand, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and Australia – countries The Duke and Duchess will visit in October #RAOceania."

Meghan, having been an actress by profession is quite experienced in making public appearances and having eyes on her. Her experiences through her career have added to her confidence and style, which probably helped her a lot in performing the role of a royalty. Meghan was able to do well in her first solo engagement only four months after her wedding. On the other hand, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, had her first solo engagement six months after her wedding. Likewise, she too did a good job stepping in for the Prince of Wales at a fundraising dinner.

Prior to the art exhibit, Markle was spotted showing off her sporty side after attending a charity sports event with Prince Harry last Monday. The two of them ended up playing sports in their formal outfits, but the Duchess had it much worse, as she dribbled some balls and tried to shoot them too - while in heels!

Since becoming a royal, Meghan Markle has been focusing her time on attending different charity events, and she has been doing a stellar job at it.
