The intention was to warn the parents of the children who like playing in the street. It warns of the dangers of leaving them unattended.

The clip went viral on social media with some people blaming the woman for not being extra careful especially since she was aware of the boy’s playing around her. Others defended her and said she wouldn’t have intentionally driven over the child if she was aware of his presence.

In a similar story, a 5-year-old boy was hit by a car on the State Route 2 Ebey Slough trestle. He suffered a traumatic leg injury.

It was later found out that the boy had manipulated a lock at his home and snuck out while his parents were in bed. Fifteen minutes later, the boy who was also supposed to in bed, was hit by a car.
