Brandy shares photo of her teen daughter and baby niece, showing their resemblance
Brandy Norwood is a proud mother and aunt as she shares a side to side photo of her teen daughter, Sy’rai, and her niece, Melody. The first-cousins might share more than a few similar facial features.
After a dramatic season on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” where Brandy and her mother had a few rough patches with Ray J and his wife Princess Love, it seems like baby Melody’s birth ended all the rifts between the controversial family.
Or at least that’s what they want to show to the public.
Brandy has been showing lots of love for her baby niece since she was born back in May, and in one of her recent Instagram posts, the singer took the chance to compare side to side the two youngest of the family, her 16-year-old daughter, and little Melody.
In the pic, Sy’rai is showing off her natural beauty standing under the sunlight, her long hair is braided and secured in a high ponytail with a red scrunchie. Melody, on the other hand, looks comfy laying down on a sofa rocking pink pajamas with a bear print and a pink ribbon adorning her dark, thick hair.
Norwood deactivated her comment section, probably to avoid unnecessary comments from haters and trolls.
At first sight, the first cousins hold a bit of a resemblance, proving that the Norwood genes are strong. And the girls might share more than just facial features, as they’re both pretty smart for their respective ages.
SY’RAI’S THOUGHTFUL ADVISE ABOUT SELF-LOVE
Sy’rai proved she was a thoughtful teenager on an Instagram Live a few months ago while talking about body positivity. The gorgeous girl advised other school girls to pay no attention to people’s opinions about their bodies and encouraged them to make changes into their appearance only if they were doing it for themselves.
“Being who you are should be more important than worrying about what you look like on the outside. Because there can be a beautiful person in a beautiful body, but in the inside, you can be so ugly,” she said. And continued:
“But if you really want to change, change because you want to change. Don’t change because other people are saying, ‘You’re a big girl, you’re fat, you’re this, you’re that.’ Don’t change because of what they say, change because you want to change. Don’t ever let anybody else tell you who you are.”
MELODY AND HER BOOKS
Meanwhile, five-months-old Melody is already developing a passion for books, as her parents have been stimulating the girl with baby books and teaching her how to trace her name so that, by the time she starts walking, she will be familiar with it.
The adorable baby has become the center of her parents’ Instagram, and Princess Love has shared some videos of the girl excitedly babbling and, allegedly, saying her first words.
Fans are convinced Melody can be heard saying “I love you” in one of the videos, and they also believe Princess and Ray J have a genius baby on their hands and are encouraging the new parents to keep on stimulating the girl’s potential.
