Here's how Meghan Markle managed to hide her pregnancy

Rumors that Meghan Markle is pregnant intensified after the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, and with an official announcement made on October 16 the speculation can be put to rest.

An official statement via Kensington Palace was made by the couple following her 12-week scan. Prince Harry and Meghan waited until the 12-week mark to announce they are expecting a baby. According to a royal source, Meghan is ‘feeling well.’ Meghan found subtle ways to hide her pregnancy and her clothes became noticeably form hiding in August.

Prince Harry was best man for his longtime friend Charlie van Straubenzee, who married Daisy Jenks in Surrey, however, it was also Meghan’s 37th birthday and she wore a Club Monaco shirt dress with clever stripings and billowing form, and gradually increasing her looser fitting garments since.

SEPTEMBER 20

Meghan joined her mother Doria Ragland and Prince Harry at a community cookbook release event. The lunch took place at Kensington Palace to which she wore a ribbed black top paired with a high-waisted black pleated skirt, her coat was a royal blue peacoat that she kept on for most of the event.

At the Coach Core Awards, the Duchess looked beautiful in a navy blue belted top that flared out at the waist with fitting black pants, covering up the growing baby bump.

During the opening of the Oceania Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts Meghan wore a stunning fitted black dress with a wide black belt and was seen clasping her hands in front of her stomach constantly.

During the trip to her namesake of Sussex, the Duchess looked stunning in a fitted green leather skirt with a forest green button-down top tucked in. Any signs of pregnancy could be explained by it being the imprint of the tucked-in shirt.

OCTOBER 12

At the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, she wore a loose-fitting navy coat by Givenchy, who also designed her wedding dress. Rumors spiked that she could be pregnant as she never even unbuttoned the coat during the ceremony or the reception.

Although she looked stunning, it was not her usual dress style and others speculated that it was out of respect for Princess Eugenie on her wedding day and not wanting to draw attention away from her. Her overly conservative outfits of late did not match her usual sense of style and wearing more form-fitting clothes

OCTOBER 15

The royal pair arrived in Sydney, Australia where she was holding two large folders in front of her stomach wearing fitted black jeans, a turtleneck sweater and a loose black coat with maroon trim.

The royal baby boom is in full swing with the birth of Prince Louis in April and Pippa Middleton expecting the birth of her first child this month, and now Meghan, with her and Prince Harry’s first expected in Spring next year.

Following the initial announcement of her pregnancy the palace sent out a follow-up tweet that said:

“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”

Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland is also looking forward to welcoming her first grandchild, and with the baby seventh in line to the British throne, the little one would now be ahead of Princess Eugenie.
