Jenna Johnson comments on her ‘DWTS’ partner: 'He’s one of the weakest dancers'
This week’s performance was tough for Joe Amabile but his determination him and partner Jenna Johnson through the next week for another chance to impress the judges.
Johnson and Amabile were joined by fellow ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ star Jordan Kimball for their trio performance.
The group was set to perform the salsa, and with the duo receiving the lowest score of the night Joe focused on getting the moves right commenting:
“I really try not to take the judges’ criticism to heart. I just really wanted to nail the choreography, because I screwed up on her every week, and I feel terrible. She’s an amazing coach.”
Jenna commented that the week’s rehearsals were a lot of fun, with Joe being super determined, motivated and excited. Stress levels were a bit high as they didn’t get to practice with Jordan Kimball until Friday.

However, when Jordan joined in the energy was hilarious with him and Joe having good chemistry. Laughing and having fun it seems Jordan brought out confidence in Joe.
Amabile even teased Jordan Kimball on his latest relationship drama with his ex-fiancee, Jenna Cooper, the Florida-based model but said on a more serious note:
“I haven’t even paid attention to the scandal, because I have to learn how to dance, and I don’t know how to dance, so it’s been taking up most of my time. I think he is in a good place right now, and he’s excited about being here, and that’s all that matters.”
Joe Amabile chose their song for the performance, ‘I’m Too Sexy,’ which is his favorite song. They knew they needed to do a Latin song but the song fit them both perfectly.
People expected them to do modeling, but Jenna thought it not exciting enough so they played the roles of mechanics and it turned out to be super fun.
In response to the judges’ critiques and knowing that they went up against a lot of strong trios Jenna agreed but wishes Joe could catch a break and get some praise. They do know that it is a competition and Jenna realizes Joe is one of the weakest dancers and uses the comments from the judges to improve, doing their best to do better every week.
Jenna is very excited for Disney week, also being her first as a pro musing that it’s literally the most magical week of the season, looking forward to working on a fun-filled, lighthearted, childish and playful routine.
A contestant that impressed the judges, Nancy McKeon, best known for her role in the 80s NBC sitcom, ‘The Facts of Life’ got off to a good start after her and dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy’s dazzling quickstep to the song, ‘It Don’t Mean A Thing’ by Club des Belugas.
Host Tom Bergeron applauded McKeon on a great start while judge Carrie Ann Inaba praised her by saying:
“You are a true storyteller. You hit every moment of that dance.”
It goes without saying that some contestants do better than others; it is a competition, after all, however, they have some things in common. Hard work, determination and having fun while doing their best.
