'DWTS' contestants' adorable old-school quickstep conquered the judges hearts

The star of the 80s comedy "The Facts of Life" charmed the judges of "Dancing With the Stars".

Nancy McKeon, best known for her role as Jo Polniaczek on the NBC sitcom "The Facts of Life" has surprised audiences and the jury of the "Dancing With The Stars" show with a brilliant performance.

The video of the dance routine featuring McKeon and her pro dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy was posted on YouTube by Media Galactic on September 24, 2018, and is quickly going viral.

The duo took to the dance floor and perform a dazzling quickstep to the sound of “It Don't Mean A Thing” by Club des Belugas.

"I was thinking about it, and it’s a challenge. It’s completely outside of anything that I have ever, ever even considered doing, and so, I guess we all have to terrify ourselves every now and again.”

SASSY QUICKSTEP TO A SWING SONG

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba praised McKeon's performance saying “You are a true storyteller. You hit every moment of that dance.”

Host Tom Bergeron applauded McKeon's successful premiere on the "DWTS" dance floor, and McKeon responded by effusively proclaiming the cast of "DWTS" as "some of the most fantastic people I have ever met.”

McKeon revealed that the show is an “immaculate machine,” geared to help even an inexperienced actor feel at ease and comfortable out on the dance floor..

ANOTHER "FACTS OF LIFE" STAR ON DWTS

McKeon is the second star from the 80s comedy series to join the cast of "DWTS" after fellow actress and cast member Kim Fields, who played Tootie in "The Facts of Life." Fields was partnered with pro dancer Sasha Farber.

The all-athlete 26th season of "Dancing With The Stars" brought ice skater Tonya Harding back into the limelight, partnered with Sasha Farber.

The former Olympic hope, who had seen her career collapse over the attack on rival Nancy Kerrigan by her ex-husband in 1994, won the hearts and the respect of the audiences with her enthusiasm and her gracious attitude, even when she and her partner lost the crown to Olympian Adam Rippon and his pro partner Jenna Johnson.
