CURRENT HEALTH STATUS
According to Will Prappas, Barker's manager, the former host is 'awake and alert,' and is currently 'resting and going through evaluations.'
Initially, the TV star was going to be rushed to the hospital in a private vehicle but, as explained by his representative, it was too 'painful and difficult.'
THE SAFEST ROUTE
So, ultimately, it was decided that calling an ambulance would be the safest bet. This was the second time emergency services had to be called because of Barker's back pain.
Prappas shared that his client suffered from back pain as a result of a particularly nasty fall, which took place on June 2017.
THE PAIN'S ORIGIN
It was revealed that Barker sought medical attention after taking a tumble at his Hollywood Hills house and that his housekeeper, who is yet to be identified, had to drive him to the hospital.
The 94-year-old was submitted to a series of tests in the emergency room but was released a couple of hours later after doctors concluded that he hadn't suffered any serious injuries.
Prappas confessed that, although it was a serious fall, it wasn't as bad as the one back in 2015, when Barker suffered several cuts to his head.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD
Just like Barker, Carrie Underwood also fell at her home in November 2017 and had to be submitted to surgery in order to close the facial injuries that she sustained.
The singer received over 40 stitches and was left with a few scars above her upper lip, which made her feel quite self-conscious for a while.
