Love & Hip Hop star rushed to hospital for blood transfusion

"Love and Hip Hop" star Shay Johnson was rushed to the hospital and needed a blood transfusion. She then asked her fans for prayers on Instagram, showing herself on the hospital bed.

The reality TV star revealed that she was admitted to the hospital over the weekend and that she needed to receive an emergency blood transfusion. In the photo, she posted on Instagram with the caption "Pray for me!", she calmly laid on a bed wearing a medical gown and cap.

In another update on her now-deleted Instagram stories, Johnson shared:

“Now I have to have a blood transfusion because my blood is low, I’m dizzy. So I have to have a blood transfusion.”

People magazine was able to retrieve snippets of her Instagram stories, which showed a nurse attending to her hand which had a needle inserted in it. With her in the hospital were her mother and brother, who have been through it all with her.

Entertaining her in the hospital was her brother, whom she filmed smiling and dancing while she rested on her bed while watching him. Meanwhile, her mom made sure to shower her princess with a whole lot of love and comfort. Her hospital room was filled with flowers shaped like animals, and a handful of metallic balloons, which she posted on Instagram as well.

The specific reason for her hospitalization was not disclosed to the public, but her recent updates share that it was due to herself feeling dizzy and having low blood pressure.
