Boy's reaction to girl getting her period on a bus is taking the internet by storm

A teenage boy came to his classmate's rescue when she got her period while on the school bus.

The unnamed girl's mother shared the incident in a Facebook mom-group because "we hear so many bad things about today's youth, and I wanted to share something positive."

She explained in the post that the boy was only a year older than her daughter and that she doesn't really know the boy that well.

Nevertheless, when he saw that she was getting her period, he "pulled her aside and whispered in her ear that she had a stain on the back of her pants."

The boy then give the girl his sweater so that she had something to hide the stain with.

He suggested that she tie the sweater around her waist before getting off the bus. She refused initially, to which he replied:

"It's okay; I have sisters. It's all good!"

The grateful mother concluded the post by writing: "If you are this boy's Mom, I want to say thank you and that you are raising him right!"

The post was also shared on Reddit, where it received 19,810 points in just two days and soon gained traction from women from all across the globe.

A user known as Imrhien said that the boy's actions "highlights the importance of teaching boys about girls bodies, and vice versa."

Another user guessed that the two teens in the story were probably around 15 years old, and added that it would have been tempting for a boy of that age to make fun of her.

She added: "He must have been awfully nice for your daughter to react how she did, I have a feeling your daughter made a friend for life."
