Mom pretends she doesn't see her little baby and her cruel act was captured on video

A mother’s refusal to give her little daughter her time and attention was caught on tape and later went viral after it was uploaded on the internet.

The video clip uploaded to YouTube sees the mother engrossed on her smartphone while her little daughter continues to call her – at times even caressing her mother’s face – to get some attention.

It is a widely-known fact that mobile phones have made our lives easier. They allow us to connect with others and perform a number of function without doing any heavy lifting.

This held true in the case of this woman in the video as well. As the video shows, she just cannot give her attention away from her phone and lend it to her daughter for a couple of seconds.

The woman and her child seem to be in a waiting room of some kind, where another onlooker recorded the entire episode after being surprised by the mother’s fascination with her phone over her child’s demands.

Throughout the video, the little girl seems to be asking something, which the mother completely ignores. Later, it was discovered that all that the little girl wanted was a coat because she was feeling cold.

Sadly, such a scene is not unique to any one family. They occur frequently in most homes and families as well as workplaces. We often tend to value the electronic world more than the real people around us.

In the comments section of the video on YouTube, many people have criticized and reprimanded the mother for her lack of attention for her little daughter. They have even questioned her motherly essence.

It is true that being a parent is never an easy task. Mothers, especially, find themselves in a shortage of ample lone time for herself. They are also sometimes deprived of their own space and a moment of disconnection.

However, such things should not come at the expense of ignoring our children.
