A MESSAGE TO CARDI B AND NICKI MINAJ

While some fans weren’t happy with the song choice, as they don’t seem to like Cardi B, Mo’Nique stands by her love for the rapper. Just a few weeks ago, she sent a message to both Cardi B and Nicki Minaj following their physical altercation at the Harper’s Bazaar party at New York’s Fashion Week.

For Mo’Nique, both women are exceptional musicians and shouldn’t be fighting for the “top spot” because the “top spot” shouldn’t even exist. Speaking about the issue on  Power 106's “The Cruz Show,” Mo’Nique said:

“I love Nicki Minaj, and I love Cardi B. They are both musical geniuses. They're both amazing... Is Taylor Swift and Jessica Simpson fighting for the top spot?... They're in their own right, doing their own thing."

“There is so much pie out there that everyone can go out and grab a slice and come back for some more. When it comes to Black talent, when it comes to Mexican, Latina, it could only be one... When it comes to white talent, it's a mass.”

Mo’Nique keeps on promoting self-love and encouraging women all around the world to work hard for their goals, whether is to lose weight like her or to reach the number one position in the charts.
