Ice-T reveals why his wife Coco breastfeeds their almost 3-year-old daughter for so long

Ice-T's wife Coco Austin received slack on social media when fans heard that she was still breastfeeding their three-year-old daughter.

The rapper explained in a recent interview with People that breastmilk is not Chanel's only source of food. She moved on to formula when she was 18 months old.

“Breastfeeding of course, you know, when they're young, they need you for nutrition. … It's more of a blankie-type thing. Instead of her having a blanket, she has the boob.”

He said she "drinks everything in the fridge" and follows a healthy diet, but every now and then, she needs her mother's breast.

The 39-year-old mom has always been outspoken about her decision to breastfeed her only daughter. She said back in 2016 that she's "kind of obsessed with [breastfeeding]”

In another interview ten months later, Coco explained:

“The main question I get from women is if I still breastfeed and the answer is yes. She’s 15 months and still going strong.”

In other news, Ice-T was arrested earlier this week when he drove through a bridge toll without payment. Incidentally, Coco was in the car breastfeeding Chanel when this happened.

At the time of the arrest, the star was driving his $270K McLaren sports car into New York City to film the series.

The couple tied the knot sixteen years ago and renewed their wedding vows in 2011. They have several houses, including a penthouse apartment and a five-bedroom house in New Jersey.

The couple kept details of their private life out of the spotlight but announced in November 2016, when Coco was born. They didn't specify the exact date.
