Larsa Pippen files for divorce from NBA legend Scottie Pippen

After trashing their first attempt at divorce, Larsa Pippen has re-filed for divorce from Scottie Pippen, her husband of more than 21 years. "It is best that we live separate lives," Larsa said.

Latest reports confirm that Larsa cited “irreconcilable differences” in new divorce papers she filed at the LA County Superior Court on November 2.

THE FIRST ATTEMPT

This is the couple’s second try at divorce following a previous filing in October 2016. At the time, it was the NBA legend who requested for a dissolution of their marriage. The filing occurred after two voice recordings emerged which revealed Larsa reporting him to the police about his alleged verbal abuse. Police responded twice to reports of domestic disturbances in the couple ‘s Fort Lauderdale home that month. According to the police, though the voice recordings “spoke for themselves” Larsa made no claims of physical violence.

RECONCILIATION

By February 2017, the couple worked things out and reconciled before their divorce could be finalized. This was despite rumors of Larsa being romantically linked to Future while separated from Scottie.

ROUND TWO

However, it seems their marriage has finally come to an end with Larsa’s recent divorce filing. The 44-year-old is reportedly requesting for spousal support apart from the division of their conjugal property. The couple who have four children had no prenuptial agreement when they wed in 1997.

In a statement sent to US Magazine, Larsa revealed,

“It is with deep sadness that Scottie and I announce that we are legally separating. We have both tried very hard for a long time to make our marriage work and have ultimately come to the conclusion that it is best that we live separate lives. We have so many amazing memories together, remain best of friends and love each other very much. Our four children have always been our priority and for their sake we ask for as much privacy as possible for our family during this sensitive time.”

BEFORE LARSA

Larsa is Scottie’s second wife. He was previously married to Karen McCollum and shares a son with her. The 53-year-old basketball retiree is also a father to two daughters with his ex-girlfriends Sonya Roby and Yvette Deleone.

SIGN OF SEPARATION

Reports suggest Larsa and Scottie listed their date of separation as October 29. A few days later, the “Real Housewives of Miami” alum was spotted at a Halloween party sans her wedding ring. She was hanging out with French Montana, Kendall Jenner and her good friend, Kim Kardashian. She and Scottie attended Kim’s Italian wedding to Kanye West in 2014.
