Mariah Carey captures sweet moment from 'mini vacation' with her twins in sunset photo
Mariah Carey recently shared her routine for balancing work and family, and the mother-of-two seems to know what she’s talking about. Despite being on tour, the singer made out time for some sunset fun with her twins and they appear to be having the most fun.
It’s not easy being a full-time entertainer and a mom, but the legendary singer, Mariah Carey has mastered the art, and in a recent photo, is seen taking some time off work with her twins.
The Instagram post she uploaded yesterday shows her outside a cabana-style structure. On both sides of Carey were seven-year-old twins, daughter Monroe and son Moroccan.
The long shot did not reveal clear features of the mom and her kids, but they were posing for the camera, and a magical sunset behind them made it the ultimate vacation pic.
Proving that she has the mommy-performer balance locked down, Carey explained in the caption:
“Mini vacation before my last show of the tour. See you on Friday, Bangkok!”
The Grammy-winning singer earlier told People Magazine in August what it’s like for her touring with kids: “Every time I get a minute off, we go somewhere and try to do something fun,” she shared, adding that “They light up my life and are amazing.”
And so far, on her current Southeast Asia tour, Carey has been displaying how much of a hands-on mom she is.
The 49-year-old, who shares her kids with ex-husband Nick Cannon, made some fun memories with the twins this past month.
Last Halloween, she made sure Monroe and Moroccan did not miss home by trick-or-treating with them. It was even more spectacular for the duo because they got to celebrate the holiday on a big stage in Tokyo.
Daily Mail reports that Carey was performing her 1995 hit track, “Always Be My Baby” when Moroccan and Monroe joined her on stage, dressed for Halloween in a Darth Vader and a Ballerina costume respectively.
Before their mother dropped some candy into their pumpkin buckets, the kids sang along, said “Aishiteimasu” ('I love you' in Japanese), and wished the audience a Happy Halloween.
In October, Monroe and Moroccan also got to spend some quality time with their mom in Taiwan. Carey shared photos and videos on social media of her twins in chef aprons and hats as they learned to make “dumplings” at a hotel in the capital city of Taipei.
Meanwhile, Carey’s schedule is booked tight these days, as she works towards the release of her 15th album, “Caution” on November 16.
She also recently appeared as an advisor on “The Voice” where she was moved to tears by the performance of 20-year-old MaKenzie Thomas.
