Catherine Zeta-Jones shared an adorable throwback photo of herself as a youngster and no-one recognized her.

Catherine Zeta-Jones delighted her fans by posting a picture of herself back in the day when she was in primary school on Instagram/catherinezetajones on November 1, 2018.

The 49-year-old actress was born and raised in Wales, in Great Britain and attended the Hazel Johnson School of Dance from the time she was four.

"I look like a female version of the artful dodger from the musical Oliver!"

A CUTE CHEEKY GRIN FROM A FUTURE STAR

The photo shows a dark haired little girl with messy ponytails and her school uniform tie askew. The poppet has a mischievous look in her dark eyes and a cheeky grin.

Would anyone recognize the poised and sophisticated Hollywood beauty in the child? Zeta-Jones described herself as a "ragamuffin" and a good match for the Artful Dodger from the musical "Oliver", based on the eponymous Charles Dickens novel.

A PHOTO OF HER FIRST MEETING WITH MICHAEL DOUGLAS

Another photo from Zeta-Jone's memory book is from the night she met her husband Michael Douglas at the Deauville Film Festival in France in August 1998. The picture shows Zeta-Jones in a glamorous strapless gown sitting next to the actor. Two years after their first meeting they were married in a glamorous ceremony at the Plaza Hotel in New York. The wedding cost an estimated $1,5 million.

MOM TO TWO GORGEOUS TEENS

The unbelievably youthful mother-of-two revealed that her children's manners are very important to her:

"What I instilled in my kids, and I'm very, very proud of it, is manners. There's nothing worse than a privileged kid without manners. I drilled it into them like boot camp."

Dylan, 16, Carys, 14, are the center of her world, and after their birth, the actress reduced her work on film and returned to the stage.

A HOLLYWOOD LOVE STORY

When Catherine Zeta-Jones met Michael Douglas she was far from impressed. The actor was smitten, and told the Welsh beauty that he was going to be the father of her children:

"I said to her after about half an hour, 'You know, I'm going to be the father of your children.' It sounded good, and she said, 'You know, I've heard a lot about you and I've seen a lot about you, and I think it's time I say goodnight.'"

Douglas sent her flowers and apologized profusely, and convinced her to see him again. Two years later they were married, and he did indeed become the father of her children.

Michael Douglas, 74, is also father to Cameron Douglas, 40, from his marriage 18-year marriage to Diandra Luker, the daughter of an Austrian diplomat.
