And with this in mind, the reporter pressed on, but Nicole insisted:

“I'm not a movie star. I feel like I'm an actor. Beyoncé is a celebrity. And that's a much bigger thing.”

Beyonce is definitely a celebrity in own right, but in the eyes of many, so is Nicole. She has spent decades being a sought-after leading lady but describes her work as ‘far more niche.’ Nicole’s tireless work ethic came across matter-of-fact as she spoke about the filming of her new movie, Destroyer.

She fell ill with a bout of the flu with a fever of 102 but refused to stay away from filming. Eventually, Nicole did take the day off but was back in full force the next day.

With love for water, Nicole enjoyed the photoshoot that took place in Mexico as part of the interview. Shots of her floating in the water dressed in designer clothes will also serve as setting for her upcoming movie, Aquaman.

When it comes to her family life, the relationships she has with her children is something Nicole has always seen as private. Relations between Nicole, 25-year-old Isabella, and 23-year-old Connor have been strained since their announcement to join the Church of Scientology, which father Tom Cruise is already a member of.

The Oscar-winning actress loves her children but she allows them to make their own decision. She may not agree with some of their life choices but will always be there when they need her, a crucial part of parenting in Nicole’s eyes.

Her early twenties is a period in her life Nicole rarely speak about. The tall Australian beauty worked hard for her accomplishments, but in earlier years her experience was different from most women.

She married Tom Cruise when she was 23 years old, and explained that being wed to such a powerful man served as a kind of barrier and elaborated:

“I married for love, but being married to an extremely powerful man kept me from being sexually harassed. I would work, but I was still very much cocooned.”

Nicole hardly ever talk about her marriage to Tom Cruise, a deliberate choice on her part and one made with husband Keith Urban in mind as she commented:

“I'm married now to the man who is my great love, and it almost feels disrespectful.”
