Prince George and Princess Charlotte won't get their presents on Christmas morning

Here's the reason why Prince George, Princess Charlotte or Prince Louis can't open their gifts on Christmas morning.

Former royal chef Darren McGrady revealed that the royal tots together with their parents - Prince William and Kate Middleton - will not open their presents on Christmas Day because they have a very different tradition, as reported by The Sun.

They will actually open their gifts on Christmas Eve.

"The royals are of German descent so they weave in German traditions to their celebrations," said McGrady.

"After afternoon tea, they open gifts on Christmas Eve, as is the German tradition," the chef added.

The royal family's website confirms McGrady's revelation.

"On Christmas Eve, The Royal Family lay out their presents on trestle tables and will exchange their gifts at teatime," according to the website.

This year will be Meghan Markle's first Christmas as an official member of the royal family, and it seems that she will also have to get used to the tradition.

It has been reported that the Duchess of Sussex's mother, Doria Ragland, will also spend her Christmas with the Royals.

On Christmas day, the royal family will celebrate early with not one but rather two church services in only three hours.

The Queen will take the communion during the first service, which is a private one for the family. It will take place at 9 am.

The entire royal family then return home to change their clothes before the public service at St. Mary Magdalene Church at 11 am.

Prince George may go to his first service this year because royal tots usually join when they reach the age of five.

Last Christmas, George, then four years old, was pleased after Santa got him the one present he extremely wanted, Mirror reported.

The little prince asked for a toy police car from Santa.

Prince William delivered George's handwritten letter in person on a trip to Helsinki in November.

There was much excitement when George received his toy car at Sandringham, said William.
