PRESIDENT LASHED OUT AT 9TH CIRCUIT JUDGE
After the call, the President spoke to reporters and complained at length about the 9th Circuit which he described as a "big thorn in our side." This reaction follows the temporary restraining order issued by a 9th Circuit judge which blocks the Trump administration from barring migrants who cross into the US illegally from seeking asylum.
Trump referred to the "large numbers of people are forming at our border," and described the migrants as "bad people." The President has ordered 6,000 troops to the US-Mexico border to help the border personnel deal with the arrival of the Migrant Caravan.
TRUMP DEFENDED SAUDI CROWN PRINCE AND IVANKA
The President went on to speak of Saudi Arabia as a "longtime strategic partner," and praised them for investing billions of dollars in the US economy. He staunchly defended Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman who is believed by the CIA to have been instrumental in the brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi saying:
"I don't know if anyone's going to be able to conclude that the Crown Prince did it. (...) Whether he did or whether he didn't, he denies it vehemently."
Another sensitive issue addressed by the President was his daughter Ivanka's use of a private e-mail account to discuss official White House business. In 2016, Trump used a similar incident against Hilary Clinton during the Presidential Elections.
