Luke Bryan’s wife Caroline says there are two keys to a happy marriage, and it's hilarious
The secrets of a country star's happy marriage are surprisingly simple.
Country star Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline met in 1998, while they were both attending Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, and 20 years later the couple is still madly in love.
Caroline Bryan opened up and shred the secret to what is undoubtedly one of Nashville's most solid and happy marriages on her Instagram account on the occasion of a friend's wedding.
“We’d date a little in college, and then we’d break up. And then I would be devastated. We’d get back together, break up. Then she would be devastated. We finally decided we were not going to break up anymore. And then I graduate college, and she has two more years, and then we break up again."

IT STARTED WITH LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
Luke was in his senior year at college when he met freshman Caroline Boyer, and it was love at first sight.
The couple's relationship in college was on-again/off-again until Luke graduated in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Caroline still had two years ahead of her, so the couple broke off the relationship.
REUNITED AFTER 5 YEARS
True love stood the test of time, and five years later Luke and Caroline got back together again. They married on December 8, 2006, and have been inseparable ever since.
When Luke Bryan took a chance on his father's advice and dropped everything to go to Nashville in pursuit of his dream of singing and writing country music in 2007, his wife Caroline stood by his decision.
THE SECRET INGREDIENTS FOR HAPPINESS
Luke and Caroline have two sons together, Thomas, 10, and Tatum, 8. Caroline explained that the secret to their happiness is based on two precepts: 1. Have a sense of humor; 2. Have selective hearing.
Caroline quipped humorously in her post:
"Many days I swear Luke needs a hearing aid!"

When Luke Bryan took a chance on his father's advice and dropped everything to go to Nashville in pursuit of his dream of singing and writing country music in 2007, his wife Caroline stood by his decision.
While the future country star was struggling to make his mark in the country music capital, Caroline was bringing home the bacon.
“When we got married, her career supported me when I was making about $10,000 a year. She was the one bringing in the dough.”
