Tampa man fatally beat 7-week-old baby while changing her diaper
In a shocking incidence, a Florida man was arrested and charged for the first-degree murder of his 7-week-old baby after losing his temper while changing her diaper.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office announced the heartbreaking news on its official website on November 27 and disclosed the alleged murderer to be 29-year-old Artem Eydelman, the victim’s own father.
Eydelman was looking after his baby, named Gwendolyn, while the mother was working. But things took a dark turn when he got frustrated while changing her diaper. He then, allegedly, punched the baby in the head and squeezed her causing her death.
He called 911 after the incidence and reported that he found the baby unresponsive when he woke up from a nap. As a result, the officers with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office were called to a report of an unresponsive child.

The hospital team later told the police authorities that Gwendolyn had suffered a severe skull fracture consistent with “high-force impact.” She also had bleeding on her brain and had suffered several rib fractures, consistent with compression.
The baby, unfortunately, passed away from her injuries on November 19 after she was removed from life support.

Eydelman was arrested after detectives found several inconsistencies in his statement during the investigation. Further investigation process revealed that Gwendolyn was struck in the head by Eydelman, who also squeezed the child’s midsection before she lost consciousness.
Eydelman, who is not the baby’s biological father, has been arrested and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
He is charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of Violation of Probation – Robbery by Sudden Snatching, and one count of Violation of Probation – Dealing in Stolen Property.
The baby’s 26-year-old mother, Mariah Salmon, told detectives that she met Eydelman when she was three months pregnant with Gwendolyn.

Previously, in November 2015, a similar incident occurred, where a babysitter was arrested and charged with life imprisonment after he fatally beat an infant in the head.
Shockingly, the babysitter, who was a neighbor of the baby’s parents, also lost his temper over the infant’s dirty diaper.
In a more shocking news, another 10-year-old girl was also convicted for the murder of an infant after she stomped the infant on the head in a moment of panic.
