Marjorie Harvey slammed for allegedly 'hauling Steve away' from traditional Thanksgiving food
Fans were left unimpressed with Marjorie Harvey after she allegedly hauled "Steve away" from traditional Thanksgiving food.
Steve Harvey and his wife Marjorie Harvey had decided to have a non-traditional Thanksgiving this year. They jetted off to Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates to spend their holiday.
Since they were away from home, they did not have the standard turkey and cranberry sauce For the holidays. “Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours. #nontraditionalmeal #blessed,” Marjorie said in a photo from their dinner on Thursday, November, 22.
Most fans focused on the stunning the family pic. They were unbothered by their atypical Turkey Day meal and instead praised the family and wished the Harveys a happy Thanksgiving.
“This is cute, love it!”
“Such a beautiful family! Happy thanksgiving, you guys! ”
“Happy Thanksgiving Harvey Family. Mr. Harvey I’m so glad too see you are so peaceful. The struggle was real for you. Be Blessed Bruh! Oooop!”
However, the dinner that didn’t include the usual American fixings, left a bad taste in one commenter's mouth. The irate fan took to the comments to tear into Marjorie.
“Why do you keep hauling Steve away every year for Thanksgiving. Steve like been with all his family sitting around the table eating turkey and dressing, macaroni and cheese collards not that non-traditional food. Let Steve enjoy his holiday with all his family. That’s all Steve be talking about on his show leading up to Thanksgiving all the traditional food he wants. You can go to those places anytime.” wrote the commenter
Other fans responded to the comment and defended Marjorie. One kept her reply sweet and simple writing, “Tradition does not matter, a family does!"
The couple, who recently welcomed their fifth grandchild into the world, definitely believe being with their family is most important. Especially since they were recently fighting rumors about an impending divorce.
“I’m sick of it. They act like I don’t have family. They act like my kids can’t read. They don’t care. They just go out to destroy people with no facts behind it.” said Steve in regards to the rumours.
The Family Feud host said that while he can joke about the speculations, it bothers him. He continued to say the reason it bothered him was that his seven children and five grandchildren have to hear the slander.
The couple combatted the rumors with stunning images from their vacation at the time. Marjorie took to Instagram and posted a photo of her and Steve boarding their private jet for a much-needed vacation.
It's not the first time she's had to set the record straight. She was heavily criticized after posting images from her parents humble home because fans believed she should have bought her parents a bigger house.
She was forced to clap back saying, that even if she wanted to buy her parents a bigger home it would be an insult to her father's face because he's proud of the house where he built his lovely family. She also reminded fans that the value of a house is not the physical building, but the people that live in it.
