Burlington, Vermont Police are investigating an instance of politically motivated vandalism that has left the city's residents in shock, reported NECN.com on November 26, 2018.

A flag supporting President Donald Trump was burned and the flag pole toppled. The remnants of the charred flag were left on the owner's porch.

“It does make me sad. I’m going to be 58 years old, and I’ve never seen something like this before. I’ve always lived in this area.”

DISSENTERS INVADED THEIR PROPERTY AND BURNED THEIR FLAG

Gus and Annmarie Klein woke on the morning of November 25, 2018, to find the flag that had been flying on a pole on their front yard in tatters on their doorstep.

Gus had hoisted the banner in support of Donald Trump's bid for reelection in 2020 and was shocked to discover that trespassers had entered his property and destroyed it.

Political intolerance is on the rise and acquiring alarming proportions as citizens polarise their political beliefs, and forget the principles of true democracy.

The Vermont Democratic Party has released a statement condemning the vandalism and appealing to tolerance and respect of other citizen's rights to think differently:

“Difference of thought is what makes us average Americans. But it’s the level of respect with which we treat that difference that makes us Vermonters – that makes us unique.”

Christopher Di Mezzo, NECN.com, November 26, 2018.

In October, Washington State resident Johnny MacKay had his truck burnt because he displayed stickers supporting President Trump. The vandals then spray-painted the word "TRUMP" on the side of the incinerated husk.

JOY BEHAR CALLED FOR DONALD TRUMP'S RESIGNATION

In the aftermath of Michael Cohen's admitting that he lied to Congress about Donald Trump's involvement with the "Moscow Project," the co-host of "The View," Joy Behar, called for the President's immediate resignation:

“Today is a good day for Donald Trump to resign. I really believe that.”

Behar's statement followed the investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 Presidential ELections that put Trump in the Oval Office.

The investigation is led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and confronted by the evidence they had gathered, Cohen pleaded guilty to perjuring himself and misleading the Congressional Committee.

“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin stated that she believed that Cohen's admission meant that there was "hard proof" of wrong-doing, which might include tapes:

“There will be negotiation documents. There could be tapes. When people lie to federal prosecutors, don’t they know the federal prosecutors don’t ask questions they don’t know the answers to already?"

Michael Cohen now faces a possible sentence of 5 years in a Federal Prison and a $250,000 fine.
