Pregnant postal worker from Chicago who disappeared nearly 2 months ago is still missing
A young pregnant Chicago woman has been missing for two months and Police suspect the worse.
Chicago Police and volunteers from the community have been searching for 27-year-old Kierra Coles since she vanished without a trace on October 2, 2018, reported ABC7 on November 30, 2018.
The young woman was last seen leaving her apartment in Chicago's Southside on her way to work. Coles was a Postal worker and was wearing her uniform when she disappeared.
VANISHED UNDER SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
The alert was raised when Coles' mother, Karen Phillips, couldn't reach her daughter on the phone for two days running, When she visited her daughter's apartment, she discovered her purse and her cell phone were still there.
Police have indicated that the Postal Service had received a phone call, supposedly from Coles, saying that she would not be working on the day she disappeared.
COLES WAS PREGNANT AND HAPPY WHEN SHE WENT MISSING
At the time of her disappearance, Coles was 3 months pregnant, and by all reports, she seemed to be very happy. Although her boyfriend may have been considered a suspect at the time of her disappearance, investigations seem to have cleared him.

POSTAL SERVICE OFFERS REWARD
The U.S. Postal Service is offering a reward of $25,000 for information leading to the finding of Kierra Coles, and several posters alerting the community to her disappearance have been put up around the city.
Recently, a group of volunteers searched a wooded area close to Coles' home and found bones which were handed over to the Police.
Chicago Police Department spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi has announced that the bones have been consigned to experts who will ascertain if the bones are human, and if so, if they belong to Kierra Coles.
The search party did discover bones in the area, but it was unclear whether they were human or the remains of Kierra Coles. Area South detectives took possession of the bones to determine whether they were human, according to Chicago Police Department spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi.
Kierra Coles is described as a 5-foot-4, 125-pound black woman with brown eyes, black hair and a medium brown complexion. Distinguishing marks are a tattoo of a heart on her right hand and another that reads "Lucky Libra" on her back. Any information pertaining to her whereabouts can be transmitted to Area South Special Victims Unit or the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
TWO CHILDREN MISSING IN SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA
An Amber Alert has been issued for two children reported missing in San Jose, California. Priscilla and Alexander Penaloza, aged 11 and 1 respectively are believed to have been kidnapped by their mother, Diana Moreira, 33.
The two children were on a supervised visit with their mother and a social worker at the Emma Prusch Farm Park when they vanished.
Moreira had lost custody of her children when it was reported to Child Protective Service that the two children were living in a car.
The abduction occurred when the social worker took Priscilla to the bathroom and discovered that Moreira and Alexander had vanished in the interim.
Authorities believe that Moreira is heading for Colorado Springs with the two children, and appeal to the puublic for any information that might lead to the recovery of the two minors.
