Surveillance cams show 2 hooded men on street before Magic Johnson's daughter's home invasion
Surveillance cameras reveal that two hooded men were on the street moments before Magic Johnson's daughter and her friends were robbed in a home invasion.
The 23-year-old daughter of Magic Johnson, Elisa Johnson recently escaped a home invasion at an Airbnb that she rented with friends in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley. Two armed men stormed the residence early on Sunday, December 2.
They proceeded to harass and rob at least 10 people inside the residence. They were held at gunpoint and moved around the house.
Elisa was in a bedroom. She overheard the commotion and quickly fled through a sliding glass door near the back of the house and ran down the street to safety. She pleaded with neighbors to call 911.
According to reports, the men stole approximately $30,000 to $40,000 worth of items. Stolen items included a Rolex watch, jewelry, cash, and electronics.
Neighbors came forward with surveillance camera footage. The first video shows 2 men in hoodies walking down the street while one of them talks on the phone. The video is taped at around 3:30 AM.
The men then walked back about a half hour later. In another video one sees a black Cadillac Escalade driving down the street with its headlights off around 3:45 AM.
According to reports, the Escalade drove up and down the hill at least two times that night. However, there's nothing connecting the two men and the Escalade to the home invasion.
Police are currently investigating. Neighbors, however, are already on edge due to other violent crimes in the area.
Elisa wrote on her Instagram Stories after the event, “God is so good.”
