Jon Gosselin reportedly wins sole custody of son Collin while Kate didn’t show up in court
The new chapter in the custody battle over Collin Gosselin had a surprise ending.
Kate and Jon Gosselin divorced in 2009, and since that time the parents of the most famous sextuplets in the world have been at loggerheads over the custody of their 8 children: sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Joel and Aaden, and the twins Cara and Mady.
Kate had been granted custody of the children, but nine years down the line, it looks as if Jon is gaining traction. The Court granted him physical and sole legal custody of Collin on December 4, 2018, reported US Magazine.
Kate and her lawyer were not present at Collin's custody hearing.
"I have an idea where he is but I don't really know where he is. I mean, I ask but she doesn't tell me. She doesn't answer any of my texts."

COLLIN GOSSELIN HAS BEEN IN A TREATMENT CENTRE
Viewers of the reality show "Kate Plus 8" have been expressing anxiety in relation to one of the sextuplets, Collin, who hasn't lived at home with his mother and siblings since 2016.
According to Kate, Collin has special needs and is in a live-in facility near the family's Pennsylvania home, where he has one-on-one instruction and support.
HAS JON WON CUSTODY OF HANNA GOSSELIN?
Another of the sextuplets, Hannah Gosselin, has been spending a lot of time with her father, to judge from the photographs Jon has posted on Instagram. Fans have surmised that Hannah, 14, has chosen to live with her father even though Kate holds legal custody. Jon and Kate are forbidden by a formal agreement to discuss their children or release specific information to the press.

IN 2016 JON DIDN'T KNOW WHERE COLLIN WAS
According to his lawyer, Kristen Doleva-Lecher, in 2016 Jon didn't know where his son Collin was, or where the facility he was living in was:
"I have an idea where he is but I don't really know where he is. I mean, I ask but she doesn't tell me. She doesn't answer any of my texts."
Since then, Jon has visited Collin frequently, and the 14-year-old spent his May 10 birthday with his father and his sister, Hannah.

COLLIN'S SPECIAL NEEDS ARE UNSPECIFIED
Even though Kate Gosselin admitted that Collin has special needs, she did not specify exactly what her son's diagnosis was.
"Collin has special needs. [There's] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things."

Kate has shared that Collin has been responding well to his environment and making great progress, but rumors persist that he opened up to a member of the staff and hinted at physical abuse on the part of his mother. Kate refuted the claims emphatically:
"I'm in the public eye. I have been investigated many times … It's always unfounded obviously,"
Nonetheless, the December 4 Court ruling means that when Collin is released from the live-in care facility he will be moving in with his father, and not with his mother, Kate.
The 8 siblings will now have fewer opportunities to be together and reprise the photographs posted by big sister Mady on Instagram in October 2018.
