Christian Bale‘s latest film, “Vice,” is a political dramedy. The film will be likened to the current political administration and its chief, President Donald Trump.

Bale stars as former Vice President Dick Cheney. The press could not wait to find out if the star had met the actual President of the United States of America.

During the red carpet for the premiere of “Vice,” Bale opened up about the first time he met President Donald Trump. He revealed that they first met while he was filming “The Dark Knight Rises” back in 2011.

Batman was filming in Trump Tower seven years ago. Trump invited Bale to "come on up to the office." Bale went on to joke that he doesn't think Trump knew who he really was.

“I think he thought I was Bruce Wayne because I was dressed as Bruce Wayne. So he talked to me like I was Bruce Wayne and I just went along with it, really. It was quite entertaining. I had no idea at the time that he would think about running for president.” joked Bale

He continued to explain that Trump addressed him as though he was Bruce Wayne. He awkwardly says, "I just went along with it, really. It was quite entertaining. I had no idea at the time that he would think about running for president."

The meeting was documented on Trump's Facebook page. On 3 January 2013, the billionaire-turned-president posted about the meeting saying, "Here I am with Christian Bale when they filmed The Dark Knight Rises at Trump Tower. Very nice guy and a terrific actor."

During the interview, Bale also spoke about his astonishing weight gain for the role of Cheney. He explained how he needed to consult a nutritionist this time, unlike his usual transformations where he simply achieves his results by "winging it.”

Bale once lost 63 lbs for his role in 2004’s “The Machinist.” He followed that by gaining 100 lbs in six months to play Bruce Wayne in “Batman Begins."

“This is the first time I actually did go to a nutritionist cause I’m starting to feel my mortality. I did decide, ‘You know what, I might die, so maybe I should go to see someone who actually knows what they’re talking about instead of just winging it,’ which is what I’ve always done.” revealed Bale

His efforts have paid off. "Vice" has earned six Golden Globe nominations and garnered positive feedback following its first screening in November.
