Jordin Sparks shares video with husband & son in matching pajamas for their 1st Christmas holiday

Jordin Sparks melted hearts with a special video featuring his husband and son, as they discuss all the unique traditions that their family will start for Christmas.

Jordin Sparks and Dana Isaiah welcomed son DJ last May, and the couple has been sharing with fans all the memorable moments they spend with the adorable boy.

The first Christmas is a big deal for every child, and Jordin wants to make sure her son basks into the holiday spirit and learn to love the season as much as she does.

So, on the last episode of her new web series “Heart of the Batter,” where Sparks is usually baking treats and talking about her family, she sat down with Dana and DJ for a very special rundown of what Christmas will be like for them this year.

THE START OF TRADITIONS

Wearing matching Mama, Papa, and Baby Bear pajamas, the happy family, sat around their Christmas tree as little DJ munched in some books, giggled, screamed and was a total joy to watch through the entire video.

Jordin explained that the pajamas are the first tradition she and Dana are starting for their little family, explaining that since they’re not the “dress-up type” it was perfect to wear pajamas on Christmas Eve and dress up only if necessary, like, going to church on the 25, for example.

CONTINUING OLD TRADITIONS

Dana added that his mom started a new tradition with her sons and grandchildren, and that is receiving a new Christmas ornament every year. The one from this year features three stockings on a fireplace.

Writing a letter to Santa and leaving milk and cookies is the next on the list. And as Jordin starts to write DJ’s first letter, the boy can’t stop screaming in excitement, even if he doesn’t understand what’s happening.

Another tradition is opening a gift on Christmas eve, as Jordin believes that helps the kids have a good rest. After she chooses a bag from the Christmas tree and offers it to DJ, the boy rips out part of the wrapping paper and takes it to his mouth, causing Dana to go into overprotective-father-mode and remove it from the little boy’s mouth.

The present was a football, which DJ started licking to the amusement -and frustration- of his parents.

DJ is only 7-months, but his parents are doing everything in their power to create the most incredible memories with the little boy on his first Christmas, so, once he’s grown and looks behind, he’ll know all the love Jordin and Dana poured into him.

IS A SECOND CHILD ON THE WORKS?

And while their family is still small, Sparks hopes they can add a second child to the mix, but not so soon.

The “American Idol” alumni confessed to Hollywood Life that she wants DJ to have a baby brother or sister that’s close in age to him. But as a new mom, she is still enjoying and learning about motherhood with DJ.

“Goodness gracious! We would love them to be relatively close in age, so I am hoping in a couple of years,” she said. “Actually, I am hoping in a couple of years we will have that conversation and see where we are at!”
