Pink shuts down a hater who shamed her husband for his parenting methods

Singing star Pink lashed back at a critic who labeled her husband an irresponsible father.

Living life in the public eye is harder than ever for celebrities. Every move they make is watched, commented on, and sometimes harshly criticized by strangers who feel they have the right to opine.

Singer/songwriter Pink lashed out when her husband, Carey Hart, was accused of irresponsible parenting by internet trolls, reported Today.com on December 13, 2018.

THE PHOTO THAT SPARKED CONTROVERSY

The battle began when Pink shared a photo on Instagram of her son Jameson, who turns 2 on December 26, with chocolate smeared all over his face and hands.

She jokingly captioned the photo:

"Chocolate is good for babies right? Help me Instagram, we can’t possibly parent without you."

A fan was not amused and immediately commented that since her husband was such an irresponsible parent, her comment wasn't funny.

PINK'S RESPONSE TO "THE PARENT POLICE" WAS CUTTING

The singer asked the critic how well she knew her husband or her children, and how much time she had spent with them.

Pink, who paused her career to raise her two children, asked the woman if she was a trained psychologist or a teacher - or even a parent.

"Are you aware of their development? Even better: What are your credentials in Parenting expertise? Are you a perfect parent? S---, are you even a parent? A psychologist? A teacher? These are bold statements from a social media spectator."

Pink, 37, has posted many photos of her children's development and her private life on social media, and it has left her open to criticism more than once.

PINK'S HUSBAND LAUGHS IT OFF

Hart, who has been criticized for taking Jameson and Willow, 7, on dirt bike rides, and to eat out at bars, takes internet trolls in his stride.

He a photo of himself and Jameson on a jet and captioned it:

"Don’t worry parent police, he is safe and I put him right back in his bubble when we were done."

PINK'S KITCHEN FAMILY PHOTO SPARKS OFF A STORM OF CRITICISM

Pink, 37, has posted many photos of her children's development and her private life on social media, and it has left her open to criticism more than once.

A photo she posted in 2017 had mom-shamers and the parent-police out in force. In the photo, Pink can be seen with her then 6-year-old daughter, Willow, and baby Jameson in her kitchen.

The singer was stir-frying vegetables and carrying her son in a baby carrier, while as her daughter stands on top of the counter.

The response was immediate and indignant:

"It's dangerous, simple as that. Are you kidding me? Parent police here! Very unsafe!"

The photo was obviously staged, and although the comments showed commendable concern for the children, they stepped out of the boundaries of good manners and good sense.
