Joanna Gaines warms hearts with picture of her 6-month-old son looking a bit snug in his onesie
Joanna Gaines is enjoying the joys of motherhood once again after the birth of her youngest son, Crew, who recently turned 6-months-old. The adorable baby boy is growing up fast, and it seems like he’s already in need of new, bigger clothes, as revealed by Gaines on a recent pic.
The “Fixer Upper” star took to her Instagram account to share an adorable pic of baby Crew resting sound asleep on her lap with spread legs and arms and looking a bit snug. The tot rocked a buttoned-up striped onesie that could barely contain his growing body and fluffy grey boots.
Gaines, on the other hand, rocked a burgundy top and jeans as she talked on the phone while baby Crew slept. “I think it's time for the next size up #sixmonths,” she joked in the caption, apparently noticing her baby is not so little anymore.
Fans of the designer star flooded her comment section to gush about the boy and share their own experiences with kids that seem to grow too fast. “Crew is growing up so quickly,” wrote one fan. And another added, “Hahaha this is so cute! It’s time to move up!”
Meanwhile, another mother shared her own experience with Joanna, saying “@joannagaines I can relate. I’m about to pack up my son’s 2T clothing and my daughter’s 7 clothing. It goes so fast!”
REFLECTING ABOUT TIME
And talking about kids that grow up too fast, Gaines recently shared a lengthy reflection about time and enjoying the present, just right after New Year.
She posted a pic of Crew’s hand holding her own and revealed that sometimes she spends a lot of time wondering about the things she will miss and how life seems to move forward too fast. As an example, she revealed that Crew started saying “mama” already and that her oldest son, Drake, will be off to college in just four years.
So, she decided to share with her followers her New Year resolution to dealing with time, as she wrote:
“This whole time thing can feel like a thief if you let it. I'm challenging myself in this new year to live for now. The present. Taking in every breath, every sight, and sound and holding it dearly. Not thinking about how the good ol' days have passed us by or how the best is yet to come. But that right now, this very second, this is the gift. These are the days. These are the moments.”
A NEW FAMILY BUSINESS ADVENTURE
Joanna, who has stayed away from the spotlight with her husband Chip after the fifth season of their successful HGTV show “Fixer Upper,” recently revealed she will be releasing her first ever children’s book, a collaboration with her kids Drake, 13, Ella, 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie Kay, 8.
The book, titled “We Are the Gardeners,” was inspired by the Gaines’ experience in their garden, located in the family’s farm in Waco, Texas. “We wrote this children’s book together to tell the story of our journey in the garden - a story of trying and failing and trying again and never giving up,” the HGTV star explained on an Instagram post.
“We hope it inspires you and your little ones to get outside, get your hands dirty, and grow something great!”
The book is set to be released on March 26.
Meanwhile, Joanna and Chip are keeping themselves busy with their Magnolia family business, their collaboration with Target, and the creation of a new TV network in partnership with Discovery Inc.
