The post followed just days after the famous couple announced on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" that they would be returning to the small screen. Chip said:

“We signed a non-disclosure, and it said quote unquote you can tell your mother but that’s it. So mom, I just wanted to make a quick announcement, we are coming back to television."

Not much more was revealed, other than that viewers would get the opportunity to "see the kids grow up." The couple said they are excited to return.

Chip, 43, and Joanna are also parents to Emmie Kay, 8, Duke, 9, Ella, 11, and Drake, 13. The couple welcomed baby Crew back in June.

Chip and Joanna kept a special tradition going when Crew was born. They began the tradition with their first child nearly 14 years ago.

Joanna explained that Chip would wear the hospital bracelet until it fell off on its own. The Gaines' hadn’t planned on having another baby before learning they were pregnant.

The mother-of-five said she was flabbergasted when she saw the pregnancy test results, adding that she felt "a little emotional and crazy."

The star revealed that her husband was in the driveway about to leave when she called him back and told him they were pregnant.

They introduced young Crew to the world on the "Today Show" and even discussed with Savannah Guthrie the possibility of having a sixth baby.

The stars left their HGTV series back in 2017 as they decided to take time to focus on family, but it would appear they simply missed their fans too much.

Many viewers thought that Chip was just joking, but their spokesperson confirmed the news to People, and said that the "details are still in progress."
